Favorites 2012

Happy New Year! I was going through pics from last season during this Christmas and New Year’s holiday and starting picking favorites. I kind of had a lot. There are some little moments, some in colour, some black and whites, and even some self shots. I was so lucky this past year to have a ton of amazing clients, a few weddings with awesome assistants/second shooters, and just huge blessings with everyone that has asked me to be part of their day. There were weddings at Hayley Castle, in backyards, Brentwood College in Mill Bay, Maple Grove Guest House in Duncan, Starling Lane Winery and a bunch more including a few I had an opportunity to photograph in Philedelphia. Big weddings and small weddings, with heaps of happiness and laughter at both. I’m extremely excited for the weddings in 2013 and I want to thank everyone that follows me here on my blog, or my facebook photography page or even as a friend on facebook. You are appreciated! Happy New Year!

Jon-Mark & Mandy + Landsdowne Campus & Perfect Light

Jon-Mark and Mandy. Yeah, this session was pretty great. Jon-Mark is one of my best friends and one of the best photographers I know. We’ve shot together, had beers together, traveled to workshops in Memphis and Las Vegas together and have also wasted hours and hours talking all things photography. When he asked me to do a session with him and Mandy I can’t even come close to explaining how nervous I was. It is truly an entirely different feeling shooting another photographer but at the same time one of the greatest feelings being trusted to capture “them.”  I think you’ll see here how comfort can make a session incredible and these two were pretty comfy. I am really excited to share this session a week before Jon-Mark takes me and my family out for our session. Super excited for that! Ok, so here we go, I had no chance trying to cut down the number of images so I hope you all like ‘em. Jon-Mark & Mandy are up….show some love to these two!So, Mandy, your eyes. That’s all.I was talking to Mandy and getting her to play around with her hair. Jon-Mark had his own flairJon-Mark & Mandy and me. Thanks for having me out bro!

This is absolutely beautiful work. The advanced use of natural light and the shots against the sun are simply top-notch. Inspiring!
