This wedding was shot waaaay back in June. I had a chance to second shoot for a photographer and good friend of mine, Jon-Mark Wiltshire. I’ve learned a lot from this guy and it was pretty fun to be able to second shoot with him. This wedding was stunning, even with the rain we had that day. Josh and Davannah both got ready at the Westin Hotel at Bear Mountain and it is such a perfect and spacious place for the bridal party to get ready. I hung out with the girls for a little bit and then went downstairs to get some shots of the guys getting ready. The ceremony was held at Hatley Castle and it is definitely at the top of my list for favorite places to photograph. The weather didn’t co-operate but there were piles and piles of umbrellas for everyone to stay dry. Looking back at these photos after months of not seeing them really brings back the feeling of the day. I figure this is probably why I love wedding photography because the day absolutely just flies by but the story the photos tell really bring the day back. I had to leave early due to prior commitments but had a chance to shoot some photos of the couple and their bridal party at Esquimalt Lagoon and Market Square. Congrats to you both on the expectation of your first little blessing and thanks for having me help photograph your beautiful wedding.
I love this photo below. As a second shooter it makes it possible for me to get some other angles that normally I wouldn’t shoot by myself. Davannah and her Father walking down the aisle.
Colorful shoes, flowers and dresses really made the bridesmaids stand out. I love it when brides change it up a bit and go VIBRANT. They looked gorgeous.
This shot below is another one of the Brenzier method shots. 7 photos shot at 70mm, 1/2000, f 3.2, iso 3200(had it set for inside Hatley, good thing for the d700)
